About Us
Our Story
We are all graduates of Makerere University, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, class of 2016 who are passionate about turning agriculture into a business through commercialization, industrialization, nursery management, research, and extension. To realize our dream, we got our brains together during the pandemic when everything was at stall, and registered Bakugu Agricultural technologies as a limited company.

Ronald Kiberu
CEO and Director of Finance
BIO
Ronald is a graduate of Makerere University with a bachelor’s degree of Agricultural Sciences majoring in Animal Science. His research focused on chicken production systems in Wakiso district, Central Uganda. Ronald participated in an Agricultural exchange program between Makerere University and Agrostudies, Israel for one year internship where he learned a wealth of knowledge about micro-irrigation systems technologies. At the end of the internship, he received a certificate in Agricultural Production. Upon completion of his studies at Makerere University, Ronald was fortunate to explore the agricultural production system of United States through MAST international exchange program at the University of Minnesota. In 2023, Ronald completed his Nursing degree from Metro State University, Minnesota. He changed to the medical career during the Covid-19 pandemic when he realized how challenging it was for the healthcare teams to cope with the need for competent and enough staff. However, changing his career doesn’t imply that he lost his love for agriculture. It is rather another capacity to help the community at large. Ronald is the CEO of the company, and his role is to oversee the smooth running of the company operations.
